Directions to Lagundo/Algund in South Tyrol

From the south

Coming from South Italy take the A22 Brennero/Brenner motorway as far as Bolzano/Bozen, take the Bolzano Sud/Bozen Süd exit there and then the MeBo fast road (toll-free) to Merano/Meran. Take the Merano Nord/Meran Nord exit and turn right towards Lagundo/Algund in South Tyrol.

Over the Passo di Resia/Reschenpass

Coming from the north take the Reschenstraße (B180) to Nauders (A), a village just before the Italian border. Follow the road through the village, go over the Passo di Resia/Reschenpass (open all year round) and continue on the SS40 main road. Follow this as far as the village of Spondigna/Spondinig, where the main road changes to the Stilfserjochstraße (SS38) and leads directly to Merano/Meran. Take the Merano Nord/Meran Nord exit and turn left towards Lagundo/Algund in South Tyrol.

Over the Brennero/Brenner pass

From the Brennero/Brenner (A/I, open all year) take the A22 Brennero/Brenner motorway (toll applies) directly to Bolzano/Bozen. Take the Bolzano Sud/Bozen Süd exit there and then the MeBo fast road (toll-free) to Merano/Meran. Take the Merano Nord/Meran Nord exit and turn right towards Lagundo/Algund in South Tyrol.

Over the Passo di Monte Giovo/Jaufenpass

Take the A22 Brennero/Brenner motorway (toll applies) to Vipiteno/Sterzing and exit the motorway there. Take the third exit off the roundabout and follow the signs to Val di Giovo/Jaufental. Go as far as the village of Casateia/Gasteig, take the first exit at the first roundabout and the second exit at the one straight afterwards. Then follow the Passo di Monte Giovo/Jaufenpass road (SS44) over the pass down into the valley towards Merano/Meran. Take the SS44 to Merano/Meran centre past Terme Merano/Therme Meran, turn right onto the Theaterbrücke and follow Rennweg until you reach Lagundo/Algund in South Tyrol.

By train to Lagundo/Algund in South Tyrol

By train you travel to Bolzano/Bozen main train station in South Tyrol. You change there and take the regional train to Merano/Meran main train station. Once you’ve arrived in Merano/Meran, buses run regularly that take you to the centre of Lagundo/Algund.
